A ‘Hap’py Little Story

Pictured below is a new hap shawl, fresh off the needles, just on time for it’s recipient Nalin, who was visiting yesterday. This is the 4th shawl of it’s kind that I have made and it is always such a joy to see it come together. Even more satisfying though is seeing the baby it’s intended for wrapped snugly and looking cozy!

This shawl was knit using Jamieson and Smith 2ply jumper weight yarn. More info for colours on Ravelry.

Some of you may remember that I made a shawl for his sister Daisy over 3 years ago (which was infact my first Hap)? Well that shawl has been by her side constantly and continues to be a treasured item. It did get a little too much love and was in need of some mending but better that than not being used I say!

Here is Daisy doting on her little brother……

…and here she is wrapped in her own shawl!

…and yes Nalin has the best spikey hair do…totally natural too!
