It is with great pleasure that I can now share a new pattern, Norby, from Jared Flood’s latest collection, Wool People 2.
Jared always does the most incredible job with the photography and styling, and in my book gets it just right, every time! To see all the beautiful designs in Wool People 2, view the lookbook here.
I feel so honored to be amongst so many other gorgeous patterns by much admired designers.

Norby is a slouchy beanie worked in Jared’s latest yarn, Loft. I loved knitting this piece and am particularly fond of the little tassles (although they can be easily omitted if they’re not quite your thing). Loft yarn is already a firm favourite of mine. In fact I’m currently working on a secret Fair Isle design in this yarn and I could not be happier with the results!

Happy 2012 to you all…..I’m personally very excited about what’s in store this year!

It’s gorgeous, love the stitch pattern! Congratulations!
I just saw your new pattern on the Brooklyn Tweed blog! I really like it! Congratulations!
I love this hat and it was in my favourites (if not my immediate queue) as soon as I saw it last night. I plan to make it with handspun as Loft is not readily available and I hope to spin something intentionally for the hat (most of my handspun is very accidental)
FInally completed my Flukra last week after a long hibernation – pinned it out this week and took photos yesterday. It is simply stunning – made with The Yarn Yard’s “Pentland” Camel and Silk lacewight. Bringing gasps of admiration from all who see it. I love it.
My daughters have the last name Norby and they are as beautiful as this hat. They will each get a Norby for Christmas this year. Thank you for the lovely design!
I love, love, love Norby! it was my fave in Wool People 2!!
Love this hat! Purchased right away and plan to squeeze it in with my other projects already planned for 2012.
