Trefoil Cardigan is an updated version of the familiar, and now retro, yoked sweater of the 1970’s. This design has waist shaping and a lower neckline creating a more feminine and modern look. The addition of pockets allows the wearer some casualness and practicality, and the contrast lining adds a fun pop of color to the lower body. The Fair Isle patterning at the yoke is a subtler rendition of the typically large (and often garish) motifs that were seen in the past. As this is knit in a 100% Shetland Wool, steeks are easily incorporated allowing the knitter to work in the round and then cut their knitting without fear of unraveling!
Ninian is the perfect cardi to throw on with jeans on a crisp fall day!
